Every year, the Royal Conservatory The Hague trains hundreds of students for a professional career in music and dance. However, not all music students have their own instrument, which is an obstacle to their practical development.

Thanks to the mediation of prof. dr. O.S. van Hees, former forensic pathologist and professor of medicine but also an enthusiastic collector and restorer of antique keyboard instruments, a private individual from Haarlem decided to donate her antique square pianoforte to the Constantinian Order of Saint George Foundation.

The Foundation will have this beautiful instrument, an English Broadwood from 1811, restored and then made available to conservatory students in The Hague free of charge. It is an important group of young musicians from all over the country and beyond.

The Constantinian Order is particularly grateful to the donor and Mr. Van Hees for their selfless commitment to a new generation of talented musicians and their audience.
